SUNIA, and THE PRACTICE OF SELF-ACCEPTANCE
Sunia is sanskrit for deep listening, but its meaning goes beyond our understanding of listening to “from a place of true stillness (shunya) we can hear all”. By listening deeply, we understand the mythical world of the afterlife and the hidden knowledge of the process of death. By listening deeply, the knowledge of all things comes to us, both on the physical plane and in the subtle worlds. By listening deeply, we are forever in bliss because all suffering, all maladies, and all karmas fall away.
In Kundalini Yoga we practice sunia to open our heart and go beyond our everyday judgements which impede our self-acceptance. In sunia our fears, doubts, and subconscious patterns can be heard, felt and honoured to find a space of peace. Sunia is when every cell of your being is vibrating awareness and consciousness. When we come into sunia, into stillness we allow the human – being, to create a deeper connection to self and others. Deeply listening reveals the natural balance of the earth and the heavens, and we intuitively understand what sustains this balance.
Who doesn’t need or want a bit of that?
In this half day workshop, Guru Devi and Devpreet will take you on a journey beyond your thoughts, beyond the doing, beyond the self-doubts and judgements to experience sunia – your inner knowing. In this modern day of technology and information we have lost our connection to nature and forgotten our rhythm and live out of sync with it. This workshop will help realign you with your environment and true nature. Using the energy and light of summer solstice (longest day of the year) you will be guided through kundalini yoga, meditation, gestalt somatic techniques, then bathed in the deep healing sounds of the gong. With the utmost safety and care you will be nurtured from self-judgement to self-acceptance, all held on Guringai land on the Central Coast, Davistown.
Together Guru Devi and Devpreet have over thirty years of experience in Kundalini Yoga, Sat Nam Rasayan, Bio magnetic healing, and Gestalt therapy. If you’re looking for a unique way to celebrate Summer Solstice, make Christmas a deep healing and transformational experience, or prepare yourself for 2023 then please join us. When we deeply listen, you uncover your inner wisdom to live in a place of deep understanding and self- acceptance.
