2026

Letter of Victory

There are many suggestions 2026 is the year of the Horse, more specifically it’s a year of the Fire Horse. Some are saying it’s a 1 year, which is true numerologically 1+0 = 1, but really, it’s a 10. 2026, 2+0+2+6 = 10. This is important energetically. The number 1 symbolises beginnings and new starts, deeply connected to the Soul body. The 0 carries the power of amplification—it includes all, offers spaciousness for creation, and represents connection to Source. Together, 10 unites the initiative of the 1 with the magnifying power of the 0, inviting you to co-create with the Infinite Divine Source. 2026 is your year to show up, step in, and shine on.

In Kundalini Yoga terms the 10 correlates with the 10th Radiant Body, the sound Saibhang meaning Self-illuminated, and the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, who out of all the ten gurus’ is the one most frequently depicted riding a horse. Guru Gobind Singh was a warrior, poet, philosopher, renown for creating the Khalsa, the pure ones, a casteless group of people who embodied courage and commitment to live the highest code of conduct and morality. Ultimately, his mission was to create a just and inclusive world where people could live with dignity, honour, free from fear and oppression, to live their truth and fulfil their destiny. This year invites you to embody the same commitment, recognise your light is saibhang and cannot be taken away, and courageously show up for who you’ve always meant to be.

This spiritual growth will happen fast, and intensely but you will be supported through it. Last year, 9 year was about endings, letting go of what no longer serves, a deep cleansing of the self you thought you were, to reveal the true self, and your dharmic path. You’re ready. It’s what you’ve been working towards. It’s your hearts work.

In 2026 the heart will be a huge pillar. The heart in Chinese medicine is the ruling organ of the fire element and represents warmth, consciousness, and spirituality. The fire element is the dominant theme for the next 20 years generating the possibility of passion and transformation. To consciously transform we must first learn to take care of our hearts, then we can truly take care and uplift others from our radiance. The tragedy is we have forgotten how beautiful, innocent, and bright we are and allow the fire within to run wild, burning everything in its path including our own inner empire.

In the early 1700’s, Guru Gobind Singh wrote a letter to Aurangzeb, the Mughal Emperor, which would change Indian history forever. Aurangzeb had negotiated a peace accord, had sworn upon the holy Quran invoking the name of Allah, promising to provide a safe passage to Sikh Guru people vacating the Anandpur Sahib Fort after months of war. Despite Aurangzeb’s oath, Mughal forces attacked the Sikhs as they evacuated the fort and Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, mother and other Sikhs were killed.

Guru Gobind’s letter is known as the Letter of Victory, Zafarnama, a declaration of spiritual triumph despite immense personal losses by the emperor’s treachery. The letter highlighted themes of justice, broken oaths, and God's ultimate protection, and famously stated.

“When all modes of redressing the wrong have failed, it is righteous, indeed, to unsheathe the sword”.

Guru Gobind’s pen became that sword which gave birth to a new consciousness, a new way of being in the world that valued spiritual truth over earthly power. The message of Zafarnama ignited a flame of honesty and justice against deceit and injustice that continued to burn through the centuries. Legend whispers that upon reading the 111 verses of Zafarnama, Aurangzeb was struck to his very core. The words of the Guru pierced the emperor’s heart like arrows of truth, and he went to his grave regretfully repenting his sins.

Letter of Victory verse

"O God, grant me this boon;May I never turn away from good deeds,Nor when fighting adversary may I ever be afraid. But with a firm resolution may I achieve victory,Over my mind may I have complete control.O Creator, that is what I crave in thy name. When, finally the time comes for me to rest,May I die in the thick of the battle."

Guru Gobind Singh

The spirit of this letter resonates even now, seems paramount today as 2026, the fire horse gallops in. This 10 year is calling you forward to take a stance, claim what’s already yours, and awaken your supernatural power and allow your Radiant Body to shine.  It’s a time to grieve your losses, honour your weaknesses, lead with your strengths, embrace the fire of passion and transformation and love courageously with a heart of a horse.

As the Aquarian Age settles in, our psyche is changing, our sensory systems are changing, we are changing, and what should be our foremost, powerful, beautiful body, the Radiant Body. When the radiant body shines it protects everybody, it doesn't let things in, and doesn’t discriminate. He maybe Jew, he maybe Muslim, a Hindu, Sikh, or Buddhist, but basically, we are all human. If we can sit in peace and tranquillity a few minutes every day, we polish our armours and we again become the soldiers of divine light. We uplift all to live equally, as one, without fear. Then you will be radiant in our day, in our week, in our month, in our year, and exactly in our life.

In 2026, what will your conscious message be in your Letter of Victory?

 love, light, laughter
