"The mind forgets the world, it goes so deep into its experience of its own self, it begins to realise the source where it came from and when you get rid of the self, you are there parts of life that you would describe as being beautiful and delightful" Verse 16, Anand Sahib, The beautiful song of bliss by Guru Amar Das

The Kundalini Yoga tradition is strongly influenced by the characteristics of the Ten Gurus which correlates with the Ten Bodies. Yogi Bhajan taught, you are living through ten bodies, the human being doesn’t consist of just one physical body, or two (physical and mental), but rather ten—one physical body, three mental bodies, and six energy bodies.
The 3rd body is the Positive Mind, energy of fire, sound of KAR and influenced by Guru Amar Das, the 3rd Sikh Guru. Guru Amar Das, wrote the Anand Sahib, the Song of Bliss, a passage that expresses the joy of right action.
There was a very dedicated Yogi meditating in the mountains for years, yet even after obtaining many subtle powers he still felt something was missing. He went and asked Guru Amar Das to help him understand how to truly live a harmonious life. When the Guru said "leave your body and reincarnate into my family", this is what the Yogi did. When the Guru’s Grandson was bought to him nine or so months later, he recognised the soul straight away and sang this song, Grandfather to Grandson.
The Song of Bliss reminds all of us that every person has the capacity to live every breath in tune with their true nature and soul’s reality.
Most of our suffering comes from a place of duality. We believe that we are separate from the source, and spend most of our time chasing after fantasies, caught in habits and karmic actions. The 3 is the end of this duality. With 3 points, 3 lines, which brings the minimum of creation and the first shape, triangle. This shape gives us a sense of structure, safety, and yet many issues, rules arise from these forms. These roles have shaped who we are, and we continue to be ruled by them, believing that we are in control. Control is illusion, and when we realise the only thing, we can control is our illusions, we freak out.
This realisation brings shock and fear, then deep suffering and sorrow, which triggers anger. Our anger like fire wants to burn everything in its path, angry at the injustices and unfairness of the world. We judge, compare, slander seek a new kind of control through pushing away anything that is different. We cling to what’s familiar, trying to keep it just the same, and miss the opportunity to tune into the deeper message. Like the Yogi in the cave, we long to be in harmony with life but don’t know how.
All our life is about tuning into who we really are. When we tune out of dualism into non dualism then we tune into being just here and now. Being present in the moment just as it is, we synchronise our minds with the infinite self and understand there are no mistakes in the game. We let go of the I and other, good and bad, competing and comparisons to see the equality in all living creatures. Utilising the Positive minds fire, strength of soul, hope of the future and excitement to solve problems we take on the obstacles through the lens of the heart and great harmony comes.
The 3rd Guru was concerned with the effectiveness of truthful good action. He was calling on the body and its function to understand their true occupation in the world so we could live in the world without losing touch with our divine divinity. The Song of Bliss invites us to tune in to our higher frequency, tune up to our true nature, and to know that even suffering and sorrow, shock and fear are all part of the plan.
This month invites you to not push any of it away, instead, tune in and tune up to your higher frequency and vibrate your own divine nature. When we embody these lessons then bliss naturally happens. Bliss is that state where You are You no matter what pressure or challenge comes. Deliver Yourself, your Truth, your Destiny, in the face of every challenge and obstacle, then you’ll know what bliss is. Then you are truly happy.
