Even if we do physical acts that challenge us to step up and be more courageous, before we can a single step forward we still need to make a decision to take action. That decision comes from the mind. Once it is made, then taking the step into courage is simple, but until then our fear stands in the way.
Courage can be learned – just like most of the skills that we need to cultivate in order to live the best version of our lives possible. The only requirement is that you are willing to face your fears instead of giving into them. Every time you step into the unknown and put aside your fears your courage muscles grow and it gets easier to use them again.
No matter what it is that you want to achieve in your life courage is probably the most important skill you will ever need to learn, It’s what will help you to step outside your comfort zones so that you can live your life fully, freely, and authentically, without compromising yourself in any way.
Every time you feel challenged, that’s when you need to step forward towards the challenge. That’s how your courage grows and your spirit starts to fly free. The more steps you take, the more you start to feel that your life is an amazing adventure in which there are no limits to what you can be, do or have.
As you become more courageous your fears start to disappear and your joy for life, and the adventures it brings, brings new meaning to your life. This is when you truly start to feel alive and that you have all the internal resources you’ll ever need to make a difference not only in your life, but in the lives of all those you seek to serve.
As courage starts with the mind it makes sense that what we need to become aware of is when the mind is fixated on fear. Let’s to use mindfulness to double, triple or even quadruple our personal courage and let go of fear.
It is a Zoom Kundalini Yoga class on Tuesday 14th September at 6:45 – 8pm.
